St. Paul’s Community Skatepark is created by Mineola skaters, for Mineola skaters. With everything from halfpipes to handrails, we’ve got what you’re looking for. And if we don’t, we can build it.

The skatepark is a home-away-from-home for many of our locals. Stop by and see what’s going on. And when you do, wave, we’re friendly.

A place for you.

You Should Know!

Skate at your own risk.

St. Paul’s Mineola Community Skatepark is a skate at-your-own-risk park. Neither the church nor the park hold any liability for injuries or damage to personal property according to Texas State Law (Chapter 75, Civil Practice and Remedies Code.) We request that you wear a helmet and pads, and only attempt tricks within your skill level.

24/7 at your service.

As of now, the skatepark is open during all hours of the day, every day of the week. Help us keep that. Experienced skaters know that 24-hour parks are rare, and we can provide that thanks to our safe and clean culture. Help us keep our park clean and safe, so you can keep enjoying it whenever you need.

Spraypaint.

The skatepark has long been a place of expression not only through skating, but through graffiti and spraypaint art. We are a spraypaint-friendly park. We only ask you help us stay that way. Obscene or grossly inappropriate art WILL get painted over. We are only able to allow art on our ramps as long as it doesn’t become a nuisance to our neighbors and surrounding community.

Have You Heard of “Skate Day”?

(yes we know it doesn’t look like a button.)

“I heard about a concrete skatepark.”

The rumors are true! Also, you’ve come to the right place. We’re thrilled to announce the “Iron Horse Skate Park.” In collaboration with St. Paul MBC, the City of Mineola, MISD, the Mineola Landmark Commission, and Dragon Concrete we bring you an iconic and historic skatepark that offers unique custom elements, unlike anything you’ve seen before. As designs are being finalized, the 12,000sq.ft. park is now in the beginning of its fundraising phase.

For all ages, for the test of time.

The plaza style design is has plenty to offer to all ages and skill levels. It even has a Scupture Playscape, and public lawn space for kids that don’t want to skate or families that want to picnic. A full concrete park solves our biggest current issue: maintainace. With Texas weather, wooden ramps are lucky to last a year. With wood prices, this practice is extremely unsustainable. Concrete skate parks regularly last 20-40 years with little maintenance needed.

“Iron Horse Skate Park” will act as an anchor for the far end of Iron Horse Square.

A core concept of Flint & Steel is to integrate YEZ’s into the fabric of the community by collaborating with established organizations.

MISD has also incorporated skateboarding into their school programs to encourage students to skate and incentivize good grades.
